Jokes and Pokes and Folks to Keep You Happy
In honour of the holiday, I thought I would offer up a challenge for anyone reading this...

Comment here with a topic, and I will write a limerick about it for you. Please keep it to one topic per comment, though you can comment more than once.

I know I can be notoriously slow at replying to comments, but I'll do my best to be prompt on this.

It's high time that I worked to debunk
The myths about storing your junk.
Briefs or boxers are fine.
Neither one's out of line,
As both are quite safe for the trunk.

As a connoisseur, I may be lax,
But I've never enjoyed such fruit snacks.
The food's texture is sticky,
And I'm already picky,
So I'd rather avoid flavoured wax.

One day, NASA announced, "What's the harm
In replacing that old Canadarm?
Bring on Dextre!" they cried,
But when that was applied,
Its malfunctions were cause for alarm.

When discussing a persistent tumour,
I have trouble eliciting humour.
The least harmful prognosis
Comes from quick diagnosis,
Whether you're in Gen-X or a Boomer.

Would an author consider me freaky
If I profiled his work in a wiki?
"Hardly so" was my claim,
So I did without shame -
There was no point in trying to be sneaky.

(And knowing he reads this, even...well, I hope you're satisfied. :P)

Confidently, you sought to bestow me
With the last word on how well you know me.
I could scarcely conceive
How you'd make me believe,
But the best way was clearly to show me.

The North End

I'm still saddened to say that my prime
Connotation for "North End" is "crime."
I grew up with that fear
Which taught me to stay clear,
And that hasn't much changed over time.
